Ras Tanura is the world's largest oil terminal. Saudi Aramco's Arabian heavy crude — one of the most vanadium-rich crude grades commercially produced — generates petcoke that, when burned in industrial boilers, concentrates vanadium in fly ash at commercially recoverable levels. At 120 TPD, Dammam/Ras Tanura produces 6× the petcoke ash volume of Jubail Phase Initial and 2× that of Yanbu.
